Konad and Zoya

Sweaters and argyle go hand in hand - and this time of year, there are a lot of both.  I purchased Konad plate m60 just for the argyle print, but every time I tried to use it, it just looked weird.  I'm happy to say I finally found a color combo that doesn't look weird.  In fact, I love it.  Green on green looks lovely.

Just had to get the (green) Christmas tree in there :)
The design is a little hard to see in these pictures - but don't forget you can click on all pictures to enlarge.  For the base, I used Zoya Midori.  For the design, I used Konad plate m60 with Zoya Veruschka.  I kept Veruscka matte by not applying a top coat.

I thought this might be fun to show:

I often stamp all over the backs of catalogs and junk mail to try out different colors and designs.  I was considering the crosshatch pattern, but decided I liked the argyle better.

I like the subtly of the argyle but I love the plaid swatches!

I like that! I love stamping with my matte polishes, the difference in texture is fun.

Good to know that I am not the only one who tries out stamps and swatches on the junk mail.

Thanks Polish Hoarder! I really debated about the crosshatch/plaid. I like the green-on-green look for the holidays, so I'll probably be using that one not too long from now :)

Thanks so much Tuli!! I really appreciate it!

Mighty Lambchop - I totally agree, the matte on shiney (or vice versa) look amazing - almost multidimensional. And that's funny that you try out stamp swatches on junk mail too :) My fiance was cleaning up the other day and came to me with a bunch of swatched envelopes and was like, "what on earth is this?" lol.

I also like the matte over the shimmer... maybe I don't disllike matte so much after all!

It's growing on you!! So maybe half matte, half shiny is the way to go :)
