Nicole Really, Really Red Christmas tree nails

Good morning all!  Today, my family and I are making the annual trip to the Christmas tree farm to stake a claim on our tree.  J and I already have a skinny fake tree in the corner of our little place (complete with fake pine cones, so we, and our pets, can all pretend it was really hacked down in the backyard) but I spend Christmas at my parents' house every year, so we get a real tree there.

For my Christmas tree nails, I painted two coats of Nicole Really, Really Red topped with Konad designs in Essie Mint Candy Apple using plates m3 (for the stars) and m12 (for the tree).  Essie Mint Candy Apple worked really well as a stamping polish!

There is a tree and star on my thumb too:

Nicole Really, Really Red
Really, Really Red covered reasonably well with two coats and dried pretty fast - like I expect from an OPI polish.  It isn't as orangey as it appears in this picture or the one below (without flash).  It really is just really, really red - more of a blue-based red than an orange one.

Also, thanks to all of you who offered kind words and support for my Grandma.  She is home  from the hospital and doing much better.  Yesterday, I went and visited her for a while and painted her nails.  Here's how they turned out:

I used Zoya Sweet stamped with Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power with Konad plate m64.
I think they look pretty nice!

Have a fun weekend everyone!

Thanks so much Trincess!! I love the color combo too, and I think the star stamp is so cute!

Love the manicure for your grandma! Mine is 95 and she still paints her nails and scrapes the polish off the tips, kind of like a reverse french mani. I guess it was the style back in the 30s? : )

Liz, your grandmother sounds amazing! She's 95 and can still paint her nails? That's great!! And very cool how she does them too, I've never heard of that.

Whoa, love that pink Konad! I was thinking of doing something similar in a water marble manicure, because I don't have Konad lol!
