The Dog Whisperer - Saying Goodbye to Daddy

This morning I learned that Cesar Millan's wonderful Pit Bull, Daddy, passed away on February 19.  He was 16 and had been a part of Cesar's family since he was just four months old.  As a huge fan of The Dog Whisperer, I've watched Daddy practice being calm and submissive for years.  It's hard for me - simply a fan - to know he is gone.  I can't imagine what Cesar and his family must be going through.  You were well loved and you'll be missed, Daddy.

That is so sad :( My 15 year old kitty died last summer. Losing pets is so terrible. And he looks like such a darling sweet doggie :( so sad

Aw nooooo!! I love Cesar and Daddy was his coolest dog, proving to people that pitbulls are not scary.

Awww, that is SO sad. Poor Cesar. My family bred and showed dogs - one of their favorite sayings was "There are no bad pets, only bad owners" and Daddy proved it to be true, I felt like he "ruined" the myth of the "bad pitbull" and hurrah for it. :(

:( :( :( I'm so sad!!! :( I loved watching Daddy on The Dog Whisperer - he was the sweetest, calmest dog I've ever seen. :( My kitties are 15 and 16 - and they're my kids. I just can't even think of not having them. I need some kitty love now. :(

What?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I absolutely LOVE Daddy the dog!! He was so gentle, calm, and sweet.

When I had cable TV, I watched The Dog Whisperer devotedly because of him! I'm really sad that he passed away, but I knew he was near his time because he was so old for a big dog. I'm going to miss him!

I have a Bully as well and I absolutely couldn't imagine how my emotions would run after losing him. This is so saddening and such a huge loss... my sincerest condolences go out to his family.

I LOVED Daddy and was very sad to hear that he'd passed on. He was a great dog and was such a good role model for Cesar's doggy clients. He was a lucky pup to have been with such a good, loving human companion - and the same goes for Cesar. He must have been so grief stricken! But, his age shows how well taken care of he was - both physically and emotionally. 16 years old is rare for any breed and almost unheard of for a larger breed! I can only hope that my dog leads a life as happy and fulfilling as Daddy did with Cesar. He was such a good puppy. xoxo
