Juice Beauty SPF 8 Lip Trio Review

Juice Beauty SPF 8 Lip Trio Review

Juice Beauty didn't send me their SPF 8 Lip Trio to review - they just sent it as a gift.  But I love it so much I wanted to share my feelings on it.
I am very big on using sunscreen.  I worked at a tanning salon for one year and severely damaged my skin.  After having two pre-cancerous moles removed at the age of 21, I knew I had to make a change.  Now I wear sunscreen on my face, neck, and arms daily - and I only use lip balms with SPF.  I think a lot of people forget about their lips, but just like every other part of your face, they are exposed to the sun daily.  Since the skin on your lips is thinner than your skin elsewhere, it is more prone to sun damage, which will lead to peeling, dryness, and potentially cancer.  Now I don't mean to be all doom and gloom here, but it is so very important that we protect ourselves from the sun, and using a great lip balm that is already equip with sunscreen makes it that much easier to do so.

Juice Beauty's SPF 8 Lip Moisturizers are sold in a fun pack of three - perhaps three for you or two to share!  They are all loaded with certified organic plant oils, mango and passion fruit essences, and nutrient-rich vitamins and honey.  They all apply really smooth, with is something that is SO IMPORTANT in any lip balm.  I am just smitten with these :)

Each pack has three shades/flavors:

Naturally Clear
No flavor, very soft and smooth, and no tint.  I use this one right before bed.  I have had trouble in the past finding SPF lip balms that weren't hard and grainy.  These have none of those characteristics - they are totally smooth.

This is my favorite!  It has a light pink mineral tint that adds just a hint of color (and really, it is just a hint - nothing to worry about for non-lipstick wearers like myself).  The smell is amazing and it tastes great too!  I LOVE Joyful.

Again, the flavor and smell are great (although this one smells a tinge stronger than Joyful).  Playful is berry-scented (naturally, of course) and gives lips a medium warmth - not super noticeable but enough that I actually felt kind of glamorous wearing it to teach the other day.  I shy away from lipsticks because I feel like that much color is too big of a commitment, but Playful had just the right amount of color to make me feel like my lips stood out - but in a good, natural way.

Each pack comes with all three lip moisturizers and sells for $15.  They are all SPF 8 and made with certified organic ingredients (and don't you want what you're putting on your lips to be organic?).  Check out to purchase a pack yourself!

Have you tried Juice Beauty's lip balms?  Let me know what you thought!
