Momma Goes to Hong Kong: Jade is the New Black Panda-monium!

When I was swatching OPI's Hong Kong collection, my Mom stopped by for a visit.  Of course, she knew I was polishing away, so the visit wasn't just to see me - it was to see Lucky Lucky Lavender, Red My Fortune, and the likes.  She decided to try Jade is the New Black.  There is just something about that shade that is so undeniably appealing.  The verdict?  She loved it as much as I - but then she decided she wanted to add a little pink to it.  How did it turn out?  Total Jade is the New Black Panda-monium!

OPI Jade is the New Black with OPI Panda-monium Pink

She used two coats of Jade is the New Black, with Diamond Cosmetics Super Base and Super Dry.  The design is Konad plate m65.  Panda-monium Pink worked well as a stamping polish - I didn't work well as a stamper.  I always have so much trouble Konading others nails.  It's so much easier to do your own!  I'm also fairly inept at painting others nails.
I really like the way the light pink looks with Jade - they are a nice combination.  My Mom is going to a fun progressive dinner tonight so she wanted to have nice looking nails.  I think these fit the bill!

And some eye candy polish blogger cat pictures
(since all of us polish bloggers seem to have cats):

I caught my four wonderful cats all sharing my bed the other day.  Aren't they adorable?  I've never had cats that loved each other so much!  I just adore these four little girls so much.  They are all rescues!

Delilah - yellow (Chloe's sister) aka: Delullah or D.
Abby - black (Heidi's sister) aka: Abby Abawitz, Abmeister
Chloe - grey (Delilah's sister) aka: Chloe Chloball, Chloister
Heidi - grey with black stripes (Abby's sister) aka: Senorita Heidicat, Heidi Hide-a-cat

Sorry for the crazy messy bed.  When I leave for work, J is still asleep, so I can't very well make the bed (and I don't think he's made a bed a day in his life).  Note the 2 blankets?  There are actually 4!  That's our way to save money during the winter - turn down the heat and load up on the blankets!  (I also sleep in a winter coat most Dec-Feb nights - very fashion-forward).

Hope you enjoyed the nails and cats!
Have a fun Saturday!!

Love the nails, but the cats more! Great to hear you have 4 cats that all get on. We have 1 so far, but want to get another but are worried they will just fight.

Thanks Kelsey - and I'm glad you noticed!!! I really like it - I feel like it looks a little neater :)

Thanks so much Cali!! Heidi, the black and grey striped one can be a little grumpy sometimes towards the others, especially Delilah and Chloe - she likes people better than cats. I feel like cats can be so weird about whether they will get along with other cats, but Chloe and Delilah integrated pretty well into my 'cat pack' a year and a half ago (I had already had Heidi and Abby for 3 years at that point). My sister also has 4 cats and they all get along great - she started with 1, adopted 2 more, and then was 'gifted' a 4th. I guess it just depends on how laid back the cat is and if they adopt to change well. I hope you're able to adopt another eventually!!

So Very Fabulous, thanks so much! It's one of my new favorites too :) and thank you about my kitties!!
