Feeling Fall

In Maryland today, it was COLD!  It's funny how 70 degrees feels cold at the end of summer, but in March, a 70 degree day feels fabulous.  Everything felt so autumnal today: the cool weather, the falling leaves, and this pure, crisp smell in the air.  This cozy mani was inspired by the changing season.

Color Club Soft As Cashmere

This is a difficult color to describe (and photograph).  It's grey... but also brown/taupe.  It covered with two coats and was kind of medium-slow to dry, but not terrible.  The above picture is with flash (I hate taking pictures with flash, but the sun is gone) and it makes it look a little more grey than it is.  The below pictures are without flash.  They make it look somewhat browner than it is.  I'll take a shot tomorrow in the sunlight so we can see what this crazy color looks like outdoors.  I like it though - it feels so cozy (like cashmere? I would not know - I don't have any cashmere!).  Do all grey/taupe colors look this different in varying lights?

Thinking of fall, has anyone else started decorating for Halloween?  We've only just started; we go ALL OUT for Halloween, so it is a process - a little bit each weekend :)

This is my new Halloween kitty dish.  What is it for?  I have no clue, but it keeps my apples nicely organized.  How fabulous would this look with some caramel apples in it?  YUM!

Is it feeling like fall where you live?
Hope everyone is having a great Friday!!

i think maybe these colours are hard to photograph, i just bought a very similar colour called Beige Babe by Rimmel, and photographed with and without the flash, and the true colour is osmewhere in between!! it just would not photograph properly!!
Love your blog name by the way, my daughter's middle name is Brooke :-)

Yes wasn't the weather just amazing these past 2 days...we needed a break from the heat and humidity.

I love this color. I just go it myself so I can't wait to use it.

Oh I love this color! So pretty! No Halloween decorating yet! Besides Christmas I don't do much holiday decorating inside. I just make seasonal changes. But we do go all out outside for Halloween. Can't wait!

Love your kitty dish!! :D
I like those colors, they are so pretty! But you are right, they are hard to describe and look different depending on the light, it happens with the ones I have too!

You're so lucky to have cooler weather. It's still in the 90's here in South Texas, where I live. However, a couple more weeks should bring much cooler temperatures. I just love fall!

It's interesting that this polish looks so different in a variety of light. Most swatches I've seen, it has a somewhat greenish hue. I can't wait to get my collection to see what it really looks like.

Love this color. It looks great on you. I live in Ohio and yes it is feeling like fall here too. I relate to your comment about the 70 degree days and how different they feel to me at the beginning of Spring and then at the beginning of fall. I love your blog too. It's always a happy place for me to visit. Thank you.
