You Ain't Nothin' But a Hound(stooth) Dog

Recently a reader sent me a message asking about how to recreate my houndstooth mani from November 2009.  I can't believe I haven't used my Houndstooth stamp for nearly a year!  Since it has been feeling so much like fall here lately, I decided it was the perfect time for a little houndstooth.  You may (or may not) know that I kind of adore houndstooth, so I just love this fabulous, fun little mani.

Houndstooth

How to Houndstooth?  I started with two coats of Color Club Positively Posh, then stamped Konad m63 using Konad special white polish.  How easy is that?

Hey Hound Dog!

So what do you think of houndstooth?

Thank you so much, Heather :) I love houndstooth everything - I wish I had a houndstooth winter coat!

Oi! So that's what houndstooth looks like. I always think of tweed when I hear it.

I love the black and white, will definitely betrying this out this fall.

I am rocking the houndstooth pattern now as well :) I used OPI - Greenwitch Village as the base and stamped with black. I used the BM plate which has a smaller houndstooth pattern on it, but it came out alright.

If you would like to check it out, click on my photo for my blog :)

This is the nail design that brought me to your blog forever ago. I saw a houndstooth manicure in some fancy mag (Vogue or something) and wanted it, needed it, craved it. I love houndstooth so much. Unfortunately, I've still been unable (read 'too poor') to purchase a Konad kit and this plate! I'm DYING for it though. Thanks for revisiting it! :)
