Zebra Striped

Happy Friday!!!  I hope everyone has had a nice week (and I know we're all rejoicing that today is Friday!).  I have been sick as a dog lately (although I'm not entirely sure what that saying means... are dogs 'sick'?).  I actually canceled class yesterday and today, which I REALLY hate doing because it messes up my whole semester plan.  I just couldn't do it though.  Honestly, I should have canceled class Wednesday.  I barely made it through the day.  I was really, really sick.  Wednesday night, I honestly (in my feverish delusion) thought I was going to die.  I was afraid to fall asleep because my head was throbbing, I alternated between freezing chills and a baking sweat, and I was so congested I could hardly breathe.  I truly did not think I was going to make it through the night (which sounds ridiculous now).  Luckily, the NyQuil I took kicked in and I woke up Thursday morning feeling terible, but completely alive.  Today I am feeling significantly better.  Still sick, but a lot better.  That being said, I sincerely apologize for not posting these past few days.  I just couldn't muster up the energy to do much more than drag myself through my daily obligations and collapse in bed.  My grandfather has also been in the hospital, so before I got really sick, I was visiting him in my spare time (bearing a surgical face mask, medical gloves, and hand sanitizer).  So now I can finally show you my purple pedi!

Today I have pictures of the pedi I have been wearing all week.  It started with two coats of beautiful Zoya Perrie.  I had forgotten how much I adore that polish.  It is everything I had hoped Malia and Miley would be (and I do really like Malia, but Perrie trumps it for dry time and coats needed).  After wearing Perrie for a few days, I Konaded some silver zebra stripes over it using OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous from the new Swiss collection.  I always feel SO WEIRD about posting pictures of my feet on here, but now it is even worse that the slight semblance of a tan I had during the summer has faded to a ghost-white.  Sorry for the feet!

Zoya Perrie
Here is Perrie before I Konaded thre zebra stripes.  Sorry I couldn't edit out that gross cut on my toe - my MacBook is still at the Apple Depot repair shop (now they are saying I'll get it back sometime next week... I'm getting worried), so I don't have my normal photo editing software.  Boo.  But since I used Picnik for all of my editing, I decided to add words to my pictures.

I love that from a distance, you can't even see the zebra stripes.  I've been wearing this mani to work with peep toe shoes all week and it just looks like I have purple toe nails :)

I hope everyone is having a nice Friday!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my zebra pedi!!

Very pretty, I love that purple shade. While I love wearing bold designs, sometimes it is really fun to have something subtle that is only really visible up close - and it makes it especially fun then when people notice the design!

Hope you continue to feel better!

Oh Brooke I hate that feeling when you are so sick you think you are gonna die! Poor thing! You will find a way to right your syllabus, no fear! ((hugs)) and a damp washcloth.

I'm so sorry you've felt so ill, and your grandfather too - best wishes to you both.

That pedicure is so pretty! I think I might steal it using CG Spontaneous (the closest shade I have to this) and CG Awaken to Konad with. Thank you! :)

Very cute! In fact, you've inspired me - I don't have Perrie, but I think I'll be putting Malia on my toes later today...
