Cat Burglar

Hello!  Today I have a manicure that I cat burglarized from Hillary of By Hillary (one of my favorite blogs).  Hillary used a gorgeous diamond sparkle silver topped with a black leopard print design, then filled the spots in with hot pink (check out hers HERE).  I couldn't get over how absolutely adorable her design was, so I had to give it a try.

For this design, I started with two coats of China Glaze OMG, which seems to be looking less holographic and more grey than it used to (it is over a year old, so perhaps the composition is changing?).  Next, I Konaded leopard spots using Konad plate m57 and Zoya Valerie, a dark purple with gold and pink shimmer.  Finally, I filled in some of the spots with OPI Flower-to-Flower, a glittery bubblegum pink, and topped everything with Seche Vite.

Step One

Step Two

Step Three

A true cat burglar!

I like the black, silver, and pink combo that Hillary used better, but I still really like my inspired mani.  I wore it to a ladies night at my favorite jewelry store last night and got lots of compliments :)

I also did a little nail reshaping yesterday, but my nails are looking all wide and flat right now because I just hand washed a ton of dishes (do your nails do that too when you spend a lot of time with your hands in water?).  But, the impressive thing is, all those dishes and not one chip!  Gracias Seche Vite!

Thanks for the awesome idea, Hillary!
Have a great Saturday, everyone :)

China Glaze never fails me either! I can do dishes all day and it never chips! (I don't wear seche vite because I'm allergic )

Loved the effect!!!

I love this one! I don't have that Konad plate - but I may have to try it by hand or order that plate. We will all just keep "stealing" the look from each other! :)
