China Glaze 'Tis The Season - Holiday 2010 (1)

I am SO EXCITED about how perfectly Christmasy China Glaze's new 'Tis The Season to Be Naughty or Nice collection is.  Each and very shade reminds me of the holidays.  I think they did a very, very nice job with this collection - it has the perfect pre-holiday polishes, party-ready glitters, great stocking stuffer shades, and shimmery New Year's silvers and golds.

Today I have the first six shades in the collection, but I'll have the gorgeous reds and greens soon.  Check out the colors and let me know what you think!

Frosty is a beautiful pearly white shimmer that reminds me of fresh fallen snow.  If you've been reading for a while, you may know that I have a fondness for (perhaps even an obsession with) pearly white polishes.  I have searched high and low and purchased many a dud, but Frosty OPI's Pearl of Wisdom, are the two most beautiful I have found.  When I was in middle and early high school, I felt like red nails were to vavavoom for me, so at Christmas time I would get pearly white nails.  This polish reads so perfectly "Christmas" to me.  It really is very beautiful.  Frosty looks nice with one sheer coat and great with 2-3.  It dried quickly and had a pretty good consistency.

This is with one coat (I applied it a little thicker on my index and middle fingers)

Snow is a PURE white polish that is actually streak free (an incredible feat, in my opinion).  My sister went through a phase a few years ago where all she wore was white polish and I thought it was so chic.  White polish has a very mod, minimalist look.  It's like an unstated statement.  Snow is a great white polish because it is streak free and I am amazed to say that Snow is my ONLY white nail polish (I have white design polishes, but not a single pure white polish).  Snow would be great as a base for holiday designs or underneath Party Hearty.  I used two coats.  Snow dried medium-fast.

Party Hearty

Have you ever seen a more Christmasy polish?  I love this!  I have a ton of pictures of Party Hearty to show how it looks in varying layers.  The picture above is three coats of Party Hearty over top of Snow.  Party Hearty dries ridiculously fast and layers great.  Seriously - this polish is CHRISTMAS in a bottle.

One thin coat of Party Hearty over Snow

Two coats of Party Hearty over Snow

Three coats of Party Hearty over Snow

Two coats of Party Hearty over Midnight Kiss

Two coats of Party Hearty over bare nails (this was not fun to remove - I suggest using it over a color or at the very least a base coat.  It came off easily when I wore it over Snow).

Cheers to You

I really like this fabulous silver foil.  It covered great and had an awesome sheen.  I only needed two coats for opaque coverage and Cheers to You dried very fast.  I have also tried using this as a Konad stamping polish and it works really well.  I think it is stunning.

Midnight Kiss

I'm a little disappointed that this gorgeous gold has such a generic name because I think it is a beautiful, beautiful polish.  I LOVE gold polishes and this one is just perfect - just the right amount of gold without being too warm.  It has a great shimmer and it shines beautifully in the light.  Midnight Kiss covered with two coats and dried very fast.  This is one of my favorites in the entire collection.

Jingle Bells

Jingle Bells is a bronzed gold foil with a very nice glow to it.  It is a little warm for my skin tone - it definitely reminds me the color of a bell (like little reindeer bells!).  It is pretty, but it would look better on someone with a darker skin tone than I have.  Jingle Bells covered nicely with two coats and dried very quickly.

So does this get you in the holiday spirit or what?
Which shade is your favorite so far?
And, just out of curiosity, do you prefer Jingle Bells (bronze) or Midnight Kiss (gold)?
Thanks for reading!

I just ordered some of these. I can't wait til they get here.

I'm hoping Midnight Kiss suits my skin tone better. That's the one I chose (in the Dreamin of a Green Christmas set).

I think I like Midnight Kiss better than Jingle Bells, though I already have a color similar to that. This post reminds me that I need to get/find Party Hearty.

Right now I've been into Sation 68 Snow White when I discovered it by accident. The white just POPS like crazy. It's so hard to find nowadays! And I guess this color has been around forever, but the company just released a new website today!
and their youtube photo shoot:

So all I've been doing today is daydreaming about polish and fashion--haha!

Well I personally dont like legitimate gold as a nail color, so I would have to say jingle bells. It is certainly a nice, warm, quiet yet pretty color. Sort of makes me wish I had darker skin to make it look better
