OPI Texas Collection 1

OPI Texas

Today I have the first half of OPI's new Texas Collection!  This collection is filled with fun names and great shades, all representing the beautiful Lone Star state.  Check out the swatches and let me know what you think!

Austin-Tatious Turquoise

Austin-Tatious Turquoise is a stunning shimmery bright blue polish.  In the bottle it looks like it has a slight purple duochrome, but I didn't really notice it on my nail.  It is still a beautiful polish though.  Very multifaceted and shimmery, and a stunning shade of blue.  This was my favorite in the collection.

Don't Mess With OPI

Don't Mess With Texas - I mean OPI - is a beautiful green creme.  I really like this one.  It reminds me a lot of a lighter version of last year's Jade is the New Black.  It covered really nicely with two coats.

I Vant to be A-Lone Star

This shade doesn't especially scream "Texas" to me, but it is a very pretty, summer-ready shimmery light blue.  I only needed two coats for nice, opaque coverage, and it has a great shine to it - a little frosty, but more so shimmery.

It's Totally Fort Worth It

It's Totally Fort Worth It is a pretty shimmery pearl polish.  It is not opaque, even with three coats, but I like how soft and delicate it looks.  In the bottle it looks almost grey with hints of pint, but it wears like a pearly white with just a touch of pink shimmer.

San Tan-Tonio

I really like this mocha creme polish!  It covered nicely with two coats and looks so dusty and fun.  This is a great shade for a Texas collection.  It gives an almost nude-nail look (especially if you're tanner than I am!), which can be really nice, especially with a bright, fun outfit.

Suzi Loves Cowboys

Cowboy boot brown.  Or perhaps hot fudge brown?  Chocolate brown?  This shade really does have a very chocolate-like look.  The first coat was super streaky, but the second gave a pretty solid finish (I don't think a third coat would have hurt though).  Cute name, unique color.

This collection is available now at ULTA and nail salons where OPI is sold.

So what do you think of OPI's new Texas Collection?  Are you as surprised as I am that there isn't a single red creme?  OPI always has a red creme - and Texas seems like the lovely red nail polish capital of the US.  I'll have pictures soon of the second half of this collection, complete with six sheer jellies (OPI's new "sorbet-like" finish) and lots of pinks shades.
Thanks for reading!

Love the green for St. Patrick's week, and the two browns are really nice, too! Not much into sparkley, personally. ;) Thanks!

Glad you like then, Sunny! I think Don't Mess with OPI is going to be PERFECT for St. Patrick's Day too!! :)

Maybe OPI have exhausted the red creme so thats why they introduced the sorbets. I don't like green usually but that is lovely
