OPI Femme De Cirque - SoftShades Spring 2011

OPI's newest SoftShades Collection, Femme De Cirque, launches on April 1, 2011 and it is filled with soft, feminine shades with fun Circus-inspired names.  This collection of wear-anywhere shades is perfect for spring.

SoftShades 2011

In the Spot-light Pink, Step Right Up, So Many Clowns... So Little Time, I Juggle... Men

In the Spot-light Pink

In the Spot-light Pink looks like the most pigmented shade in the bottle, but it is actually a very sheer jelly.  It gives a very pretty, subtle, work-friendly wash of pink.  I used three very fast-drying coats.

Step Right Up

Step Right Up was the most opaque of the four polishes.  It is a very light pink creme that gave a nearly-opaque finish with two coats.  I really like this one.

So Many Clowns... So Little Time

So Many Clowns... So Little Time is a semi-sheer nude polish with hints of pale pink.  I used three coats for semi-opaque coverage.

I Juggle... Men

This one clearly doesn't look like much without a base color under it.  I Juggle... Men is a clear top coat with lots of beautiful microshimmer.  It gives a very pretty, subtle shimmer.

All four of these polishes dried very quickly.  I think this is a really nice lineup of SoftShades (I love light pinks) and I think the incorporation of a shimmery topcoat is a fun addition to the group.
Femme De Cirque will be available on April 1 in stores and salons where OPI polishes are sold.

Which one of these pretty shades is your favorite?

Samples provided for review purposes.

Since I'm a layering fool, I Juggle Men is the one that I might end up getting. The others are okay, but I'm burned out on sheer pale pinks--wore almost nothing but for quite some time back when I was in a conservative field.

Karen, I Juggle Men looks really nice over light pinks (I also tried it over Zoya Caitlin and it looked great). I'd love to see it if you try it. I've gone through a few pale-pink-only phases, but not for a few months - now I'm so excited to wear light pinks for spring! :)

Gosh, I just don't see the point of these. They are kinda pointless. Aren't there are a million other polishes out there like these?

Sorry - can you tell I'm not a fan? ;o)

haha, yeah, I agree, there are a lot of softshades (and softshade-like shades), jaljen. But I still like these (and I actually don't have anything like Step Right Up or So Many Clowns, surprisingly). :)

Step Right Up is super flattering on you!

I agree -- these seem really pointless. Not my cup of tea at all.

I don't like any of them, sheers are not my thing. Of course, soft shades are supposed to be subtle. They're exactly what they claim to be. Still, I'm not going to this circus show.
