Camo Nails

In my town, it is not unusual to see people walking around in camo year-round.  That being said, I've never worn camo myself, so I had to look up a few pictures of camouflage before I set out to attempt this manicure.  But I was so inspired by the color (not the name) of OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window that I couldn't wait to do a camo manicure.

For this manicure, I started with two coats of OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window.  Next, using a toothpick, I attempted to make leaf-like shapes using OPI A-Taupe the Space Needle and OPI French Quarter For Your Thoughts.  Then I used OPI Stranger Tides to add a few highlights.

What do you think?  Could my nails camouflage me in the wild?

love it! I did a camo mani on my mom yesterday and was going to do one for myself soon. I got "army of one" from the ulta line I believe the other day.

my brother is in basic now, that was the reason for my army inspiration. I was going to wear it to his graduation next month. =)

This turned out wonderful! I've been contemplating the camo myself and not quite sure how to go about it.

Cute! As a life-long friend of yours though, I have to laugh, this mani is so not "you" :) Great job though, you really captured camo at it's prettiest.

That is gorgeous! I would love to try it, but I am so non-artsy I don't think I could manage it.

You are all so kind!! I was in Florida on vacation when this post was published (I had it scheduled to publish) and when I got home, I found out that my computer battery had died, so I was computerless and unable to comment for weeks! I finally have a new battery and I wanted to thank everyone for all the kind comments. I was really excited to share this mani with all of you.

Thank you so much Barb and love4lacquer!!

Jackie, I want to try a pink camo next!

Thanks so much xoxo, Idrinknailpolish, APE, and the lovely Karo :)

Thank you Gwen, tata, and Melany!

Thanks so much Freshie - I wasn't sure either, but I am really happy with how it turned out. I think the edges could have been more jagged, but it still looks camo-y.

Ageless, that made me laugh that your husband liked it too :) I made a husband-friendly mani!

Angela, I would love to see pictures, and congratulations to your brother!!

beaux, I am the same way - camo is so not me - but I loved this!

hahaha, Theresa, I know, this is so not 'me' at all! But I loved it so much... in fact, I kind of want to wear it again!

Enamel girl, yes, me too!! Please do - I'd love to see!!

Sasha, I'm non-artsy too - I did it with a toothpick! haha :)
