OPI Simply Smashing

Simply Smashing is a unique shimmery light green that is slightly sheer with two coats.  It was designed to be paired with OPI Black Shatter as part of OPI's Glam Slam collection with Serena Williams.

What do you think of this color?  Is it a hit or a miss?

My problem was that I thought it was too sheer even after 3 light coats. It's pretty, but for the price and effort I should just get the Butter London glittery green Wallis? instead.

I like it...but it is one of those odd colors. I have it but haven't worn it much

I have this polish. I haven't used it yet though. I don't know if I like it or not.... I can't decide if it is gold or yellow or green haha....

I really like this shade and yet I don't like Wallis from London Butter. I also think this shade did not get it's due because all the hype for Chanel Peridot came out soooo early and the OPI black shatter also released in the Katty Perry collection got all the attention. I was really happy to see you review this shade now as the last Serena Grand Slam collection in celebration of the US Open has just been released (without a topper or any shatter in it - YEAH!).

Bunny, I agree, it was fairly sheer, and the VNL can be problematic.

imfeelingnailventourous and pixiepolish, I agree - it is certainly a DIFFERENT shade, and not one I have worn often, although surprisingly I have worn it three times since I got it last January - which is more than I can say for some 'normal' colors, lol.

Thanks karo!!

beachgal, I actually had a note on my calendar to return to this color - it certainly is more appropriate this time of year! Thanks for your comment!
